Mastergeeha 2 Listowel Celtic 4
On Saturday in Kilbrean in a close game the U-13s exited the Kerry Cup. In the first half the game Mastergeeha lads were up against it playing against the breeze and were two goals down at half time. In the second half Anthony Maigner and Philip Casey lead by example a drove the team forward and put it up to the visitors. In the 40th minute a Paul O'Riordan ball into the box lead to William Maher taking a shot inside which was saved but Matthew Keane was alert and scored rebound. Shortly after Damien Breen was unlucky not to score the equaliser with his shot just going wide. However Listowel got the third against the run of play in the 50th minute. With 10 minutes remaining a Derek Breen cross to Damien Breen in on the back post who finished well to make it two goals to three. In the closing stages while pushing for the equaliser Listowel again broke up field to score a fourth and final gaol. . Kelvin Teahan gave an excellent display in the middle of the field but Anthony Maigner was with no doubt the man of the match at centre back.
