U13 National Cup - Mountshannon Celtic 0 Mastergeeha 1

Our U-13’s travelled to Ennis to play there opening game of the season which was in the National Cup. The game began in a high pace with Mastergeeha inside there own half for most of the first ten minutes. Padraig Devane then made a great save to keep the score nil all in the 15th minute. Then on the break from  Philip Casey shot from the edge of the box to score in the to corener for the lead gaol. Shortly later a Eamon Herilhy shot went narrowly wide. In the second half the Mastergeeha broke on the counter attack and Georoid Keirns, Padraig Desmond and Eoin Kennedy interlinked well and where unlucky in a few occassions. With 10 minutes to go a Mountshannon player was taken down in the box but Padraig Devane saved the pentaly. Toward the end the defense of Eamon Herilhy, Adam Walsh, Daniel Moynihan and Shane Moynihan stood firm. All payed their part and got a well deserved victory.
