U13 – Mastergeeha 4 Park Fc 7

In an exciting encounter in Kilbrean Park there was a feast of goals between these  two premier sides.  The Park took the lead early in the match following a defensive error. Mastergeeha were unlucky not to equalise moments later when a Sean O'Sullivan corner was just headed wide by Matthew Keane. Then the Park scored again but following some good play by Sean O'Sullivan who passed to  Damien Breen, who went past three players to finish into the top corner. Leaving the score at half time at 1-2. Minutes into the second half Damien Breen won a penalty after being taken down.  His brother Derek Breen stepped up and scored the penalty. With the score now at 2-2 the Park added two further goals. However the boys showed real spirit when a good passage of play started by Sean O'Sullivan and Antony Magnier ended in Damien Breen scoring an excellent goal. But the Park added another to make the score 5-3. Mastergeeha again pushed forward with a Kelvin Teahan cross finished to the net by Derek Breen to make it 5-4. Injuries to Sean O'Sullivan and Philip Casey towards the end of game ending the teams courageous fight back with the Park adding further goals.
