U14 Mastergeeha 4 Moneypoint 5 AET

In this close encounter the home team started the better when Kelvin Teahen trough ball to found Damien Breen who scored with a good finish to the corner of the net. Following this Money point replied with two goals in quick succession. The Damien Breen took over again scoring in the 25th minute and scoring following a rebounded shot from distance by Adam Walsh. Money point again got back on terms to leave the score 3-3 at half time. The visitors again took the lead but the Mastergeeha upped the pace and Kelivn Teahen scored the equaliser to take the match to extra time. In extra Moneypoint scored again but Mastergeeha never gave up and pushed forward creating a few chance but could not get a deserved equaliser. All played well in an exciting game.

 

Boys U14 - Mastergeeha 1 Park 4

Mastergeeha started the brighter when Damien Breen scored in the opening minutes following an excellent pass Philip Casey. Mastergeeha now playing the better soccer were rocked when the Park were awarded a penalty due to a accidental hand ball. Park went on to score the penalty with the best efforts of Daniel Moynihan in the Mastergeeha goal. On the break Mastergeeha conceded two more before half time. In the second half hard working midfielders Padraig O'Sullivan, Cillian O'Connor and Kelvin Teahan took the game to Park and although strong performances at the back Park got there fourth, fifteenth minute before the end. The score did not reflect the team effort. Boys U14 - Killarney Celtic 5 Mastergeeha 1

Mastergeeha had a tough start to the season with an away trip to Celtic Park. In a close opening half both side created chances leaving the score at break 2-1. Damien Breen scored for Mastergeeha with a well taken shot. The boys battled well in the second half but Celtic got the goals to decide the tie.
