Under 14 Cup: Inter Kenmare, who are the top team in division one, defeated Fenit 6-0 to advance to the second round. The ‘Life of Brian’ could be the theme of the day with Brian Crowley and Brian Clifford netting two each. Gavin Crowley and Colm O’Sullivan got the others.
The other Cup game was a very tight affair with Iveragh United making the long trip to Fenit a winning one 4-2, but after extra time.
The game finished 1-1 after normal time with Ryan Mulvihill and Owen O’Sullivan sharing the goals. However in extra time O’Sullivan scored again for Iveragh United and Dara Stack got two more while Asdee could only manage one from Blake Horniac.
Under 12 Div 1: Killorglin came into this game having to win to move level at the top of the table with Dingle who weren’t playing. They achieved this by winning 7-1 over Clanmaurice and now both sides are on 27 points with one game left for both sides.

Under 12 Premier: Killarney Celtic 2-0 Ballyhar. Eight wins from eight games shows that this team is high on confidence and are going into their forthcoming National Cup quarter final in great form. However they were made fight all the way by Castlemaine. Goals from Daniel O’Donoghue and Paudie Clifford were the difference between the teams.
Under 14 Div 1: St Bernard’s 1-8 Ballyhar. Ballyhar finished their league campaign with a good win on the road. Garroid Coghlan netted three, Donal Foley 2 and one each from Timmy Clifford, Mark Sherwood and Fergal Hallissey saw Ballyhar take all three points. Michael O’Leary got the St Bernard’s consolation.
Under 14 Premier: Killarney Celtic had to win this game if they wanted to give themselves any chance of finishing in the top two. Before the start of play in this ten game division Killarney Athletic were top on 19 points from 8 games, Kingdom Boys are on 18 points from 7 games (there two sides meet next week) while Celtic were on 12 points from 6 played. Celtic did what they had to do defeating Clanmaurice 4-0 with goals from John Moriarty, Wayne Sparling, Scott O’Mahoney and Liam O’Sullivan. Celtic move onto 15 points with three games left.
Also in this division Listowel Celtic were led by the O’Connor brothers Nigel and Aaron who both scored in their 2-0 win over Mastergeeha.
Under 16; Listowel Celtic completed a great week which saw them pick up six points from two games (and are now on 22 points) to move four points clear of Killarney Celtic at the top of the table. Both sides have two games left while Iveragh United are in fourth at the moment on 14 points having played all their games so the danger to the top two comes from Kingdom Boys who are on 13points but have only 5 games played and were in Cup action this week and Killarney Athletic who started the day on 13 points from 6 games.
Listowel Celtic’s goals in their 5-0 win over Camp came from Dara Kennelly with 2 and one each from Jamie Barry, Patrick Costello and Bryan Murphy.

Under 12 National Cup: Last 16 – Killarney Celtic 3- 0 St Joseph’s:
Killarney Celtic march into the last 8 of this seasons National Cup following this excellent 3-0 win over St Joseph’s of Athlone. Celtic did all the damage in the second half opening the scoring early in the period when Chris Doncell shot home. At 1-0 anything could happen but once they went 2-0 up it was a lead that they were not going to let slip. The St Joseph’s keeper made a good save, turning the ball out for a corner and when it was taken Brendan Lyne got on the end of it put Celtic within touching distance of the quarter finals.
The icing was put on the cake when John Fintan Daly, who also scored in the last round, got on the end of a through ball, his pace beat the defender and goalkeeper and he wrapped up the scoring and booked Killarney Celtic a trip to St Kevin’s Boys in Dublin in the last eight.

Reports:
National Cup Under 15 – Last 16:
Kingdom Boys 2-0 Home Farm:
Kingdom Boys under 15’s march on into the last eight of this year’s Under 15 National Cup following this comfortable 2-0 win over Home Farm. The home side certainly were quick out of the blocks and forced a corner within two minutes. However they had to wait until the 15th minute to make the vital breakthrough. Aaron Houlihan, who was to prove a handful all day from set pieces floated a free kick into the Home Farm box and when Darragh O’Brien knocked it down Ian McCarthy was on hand to hook a superb volley to the roof of the net.
Indeed Kingdom Boys could be 2-0 up a couple of minutes later when Dara O’Brien was again up with the attack and when Adam Piggott back-heeled the ball he struck a shot that looked to be heading for the top corner of the net but Home Farm keeper Greg Murray dived full length to his left to keep it out.
Home Farm did come into the game a little in the second quarter and were getting a little more room that the Kingdom Boys management will have liked in the middle of the field but they rarely threatened Owen Crean in the goal.
Kingdom Boys started the second half as they did the first and within minutes Darren O’Brien, Darragh O’Brien and Uros Ivkovic all came close.
It was the fifteenth minute again when the damage was done and the game was over as a contest. A great corner from Houlihan was knocked on by Ian McCarthy and Adam Piggott was on hand this time to score.
For the rest of the game Kingdom Boys were in control and keeper Owen Crean came within a whisker of an amazing goal which would have made it 3-0. With all the Home Farm players including the keeper pushed forward for a corner Crean caught the ball and launched a massive kick that looked like going all the way to the net but in fairness to Paddy Seerey he chased all the way back and just prevented the ball rolling over the line.
This was the last action of the day on which the Tralee sides back four were the pick of the players never putting a foot wrong all game.
Kingdom Boys can now start planning for a home quarter final against Mervue from Galway, the stage of the competition that has seen them going out in the past few seasons. However there is belief in this side that this could be their year and with improvement in one or two areas they could go all the way.
Under 11 Cup:
25 teams entered the Under 11 Cup which shows the strength of schoolboys soccer in Kerry at the moment so 18 teams faced went head to head in the first round to join the remaining nine in the last 16.
Camp (Owen Curry, Maurice Slattery and Jack Nix 2 each and Fiachra Geary) were 7-2 winner over Mastergeeha from whom David Gleeson scored twice.
Castleisland, a non league side at this age did very well for three quarters of their game against the much more experienced Kingdom Boys and were only 2-1 down entering into the last quarter. Ethan O’Connor got the Castleisland goal while Reen O’Connor got 2 and Danny Kinsella, Ferdie O’Brien and Lorcan Foley all scored for the Tralee side.
Fenit B, with a hat trick from Bobby O’Regan and one from Oisin O’Brien got past Listowel Celtic C while Inter B saw off Killarney Celtic B 4-2. Jordan White 2, Sean Casey and Tom Gudgeon were on the mark for Inter while Danny Cotter from the penalty spot and an og were Celtic’s score.
Killarney Athletic B were 3-0 winners over Killarney Celtic C who entered three teams such are the numbers playing for the Hoops.
Killarney Athletic’s A side are also into the next round. They had Dylan O’Sullivan, Michael Casey, Adam O’Shea and Ronan Sweeney among their goals as they saw off Kingdom Boys B.
Fenit A were 6-3 winners over Iveragh United with Ryan Dolan getting a hat trick and Dave Murphy, Mark Williams and Cian McGarry all scoring.
St Brendan’s Park will have three teams in the hat for the next round as their A and B sides both progressed.
The B’s were too strong for Killorglin A. Padraig O’Brien scored for Killorglin but goals from Danny O’Reilly getting two and one each from Oisin Fitzgerald, Stephen Lowth, Josh Loucher and Padraig Griffin saw the through. For good measure Padraig O’Connor, in The Park goal saved a penalty.
The Park A’s saw off Killorglin B 9-1 with Sean Dukes getting a hat trick, Sean Fitzgerald and Murrough Connolly getting two and Christopher Lee and Jessie Stafford Lacey all scoring.
Under 12 Cup:

Under 16 National Cup Last 32: Killarney Celtic 2-4 Kingdom Boys AET.
The Kingdom Boys under 16 team gave the club the perfect end to a memorable week which started with the u15’s reaching the last 16 of their National Cup and continued with Tralee Dynamos A Championship launch mid week.
In this game Kingdom Boys were pushed all the way and it wasn’t until extra time that they clinched their in the last 16 where they now face Corinthian’s from Cork.
Celtic started well with Chris Brady and Robert Watson causing the Tralee side a lot of problems. Indeed we almost witness one of the best goals scored at Celtic Park when Chris Davis, Robert Watson and Chris Brady all combined with a one touch move that ended with Brady just putting his volley on the wrong side of the post.
Celtic got their reward in the 21st minute when Chris Brady crossed and Chris Brady was able to poke the ball past a stranded Barry Galvin.
However the Tralee side were level before the break when Scott Monaghan squeezed the ball home from a tight angle.
Into the second half and Kingdom Boys were on top and in truth should have gone 3-1 up when Darren O’Sullivan went one on one with the keeper but David Gleeson did very well to deny him.
However one minute later he was powerless to stop Diarmuid Lee who picked up the ball outside the box and shot home across the Celtic keeper to put them 2-1 ahead.
But their lead only lasted two minutes. Terrance Moriarty pickled up the ball and ran at the heart of the Kingdom Boys defence before being taken down. David O’Sullivan stepped up to level up the game.
Celtic had the better chances to win the game in the closing minutes Tadgh Moore’s glancing header went agonisingly wide.
Into extra time and here Kingdom Boys showed their class and took all the opportunities that they got with Adam Piggott setting up Darren O’Brien for their third At the end of the first period and Adam himself netting the fourth in the first minute of the second period. In this passage of play Celtic keeper David Gleeson took a totally accidental blow to the head and the game was held up for twenty minutes. Everyone wishes him a speedy recovery.
After the delay the game petered out with Kingdom Boys happy to hold what they had and march into the last 16 in Ireland alongside their under 15 team. This is a great achievement for all those associated with both teams.
Under 12 National Cup: Killarney Celtic 2-0 Ballyoulster:
There was much better news for Killarney Celtic at under 12 level when they qualified for the last 16 of their National Cup. They defeated their Kildare opposition 2-0 with both goals coming from Darren O’Doherty.
Celtic were the better side and were very tight at the back. They welcomed Shane Ryan back into goal following a long injury and he was very assured as were his defenders, especially Donal Lyne.
Up front they had chances in the first half but couldn’t get the break through. All that changed five minutes into the second period when Darren O’Doherty got on the end of a long ball from Lyne and coolly slipped the ball under the keeper, who tried his best to get back but couldn’t prevent the ball from dribbling into the net.
O’Doherty wrapped things up 6 minutes later with a great shot to send Celtic into the last 16 and a clash with St Joseph’s from Galway.
St Brendan’s Park 0 – 4 Crumlin: This was the proverbial game of two halves, with the Park having the wind in the first half but they were unable to make the break through, in a scoreless period. However after the break Crumlin had the strong wind at their back and made the Park play running out 4-0 winners.
Cup competition:
Under 12 Cup: There was one first round game played in this competition and it was Ballyhar who came out on top defeating Park b2) 4-0 to move into the second round.

Killarney Athletic had goals from Ronan Murphy 2, and Cathal Murphy in their 3-1 over Mastergeeha.
The Park were 5-1 winners in Ballyhar. For the home side David King got the consolation but goals from Tomas Ziga, Greg Horan, Brendan Evans and Aaron Eager put the Tralee side into the hat for the next round.
Killarney Celtic were too strong for Dingle Bay running out 8-0 winners. Conor Keane and Scott O’Mahoney got tow each with John Moriarty, Gary O’Sullivan, Dara Roche and Wayne Sparling all getting one each.
Under 12 Div 1: Camp 3-3 Mastergeeha:
Both sides will be happy enough with a point here but Mathew Keane will probably be a little disappointed as he got all three goals for Mastergeeha.
Hughie O’Brien got two and Brandon Hoare the other for Camp.
Under 12 Premier:
Killarney Athletic made the long trip to Listowel Celtic a profitable one coming away with all three points. Adam O’Rourke scored for the home side but goals from Danny Healy and Jordan Kiely sees Athletic move into second place, leapfrogging Inter Kenmare who didn’t play.

Iveragh United 5-0 Inter Kenmare. Iveragh United moved into second place, although they have played more games than those around them following this win played during the week under lights. Boize Keating lead the scoring with two and Chris Farrelly, Dan Daly and Oran Clifford got the others.

Boys to welcome Farm to the Kingdom:
Under 15 National Cup Last 32: Kingdom Boys 3-1 Killarney Athletic.
Kingdom Boys under 15’s are the last Kerry side left in the uneven section of the National Cup’s for this season and they can now look forward to welcoming Home Farm to the Kingdom. With the rain falling at the start of the game the pitch was slippy and both sides made hesitant starts.
Ronan Murphy’s height was causing trouble for the Kingdom Boys defence but at the other end they were very dangerous. Arron Houlihan started well and it was his header that was cleared for a corner that led to the first goal.
Scott Monaghan took the corner and Darragh O’Brien, who had made his way up from the back, rose powerfully to head home.
A Brian O’Shea header was the closest that Athletic came to equalising but Kingdom Boys had now forced 6 corners which showed their control on the early part of the game.
However from the 36th to the 40th minute it all happened with firstly Colm Tobin winning a free kick on the right of the box, he took it himself. Jack O’Connor got the slightest flick on the ball and it fell to Ronan Murphy who blasted home to the delight of the big Athletic contingent.
However their joy was short lived when in the next passage of play, Tobin fouled Arran Houlihan and then kicked the ball away – leading to a yellow card. This was his second as he had been booked earlier for a foul and so he was gone for an early shower. To make matters worse for Athletic when Houlihan put the free kick into their box Ian McCarthy was on hand to head home and send them in 2-1 in front.
It could have got much worse for the Killarney side in the early stages of the second half but a brilliant goal saving tackle by Cillian Fitzgerald kept them in the game.
Darren O’Brien, Dara Carmody and Houlihan combined for some lovely moves while at the other end Jack O’Connor and Jeff O’Donoghue were trying hard.
Athletic fought hard but couldn’t get the breakthrough they were looking for and tired in the last quarter when Kingdom Boys wrapped up the game. Before the decisive third goal Ian McCarthy had a header cleared off the line by the vigilant Derek Maye but it was a brief respite as in the 36th minute Darren O’Brien got the ball with his back to goal in the box and with quick feet spun around and shot low past Stephen Cahillane to wrap up the game.
This game was a great advertisement for Schoolboys soccer and the large crowd, including many neutrals were entertained right through the game and now Kingdom Boys can start preparing for the visit of the illustrious Dublin side, who certainly wont be relishing the trip to the Kingdom.
Under 11 National Cup Park 3-4 Cabinteely:
The Park made their exit from this year’s competition after a great effort against their Dublin visitors. Indeed the Park got the ideal start and were a goal up after ten minutes through Sean Fitzmaurice. Indeed the Park were unfortunate not to be 2-0 up early on. However Cabinteely found their feet to lead 3-1 before James Duggan pulled one back. Again the Dublin side restored their two goal lead to make it 4-2 before Mike O’Donnell made sure of a thrilling finale but The Park just couldn’t find the equaliser to force the game into extra time.
Under 13 National Cup – Rock Celtic (Louth) 8- 2 Castleisland:
Castleisland made the long trip to DDSL side Rock Celtic and went out of the competition. However they can look back at a good campaign and did very well to get to the last 32. Chris Kerley anD Shane O’Connor got the Castleisland goals.

Seven of the Best – plus two to go:
After this round of National Cup games, at even ages, Kerry has seven teams left in the draw, with Listowel to play Caherdavin at under 14 and Camp to pay Tulla Utd in fixtures to be rearranged.
All of these teams go into the last 8 in the Munster section, just one win away from the last 32 in the country.
Under 12 National Cup:
At under 12 level Asdee’s run came to an end with a defeat to Kilmallock 1-6. Niall O’Dowd got the goal for Asdee. Listowel Celtic also went out going down 3-0 to Avenue Utd. They were unfortunate as the score was 0-0 with 12 minutes to go before they went a goal down. They then pushed for the equaliser but were caught on the break.
In the all Kerry clash Killarney Athletic defeated Kingdom Boys 3-2. Terry Mustafi and Kevin O’Shea got the goals for the Tralee side but it is the Killarney team that are into the next round following two goals from David Sheerin and one from Danny Healy. Broadford equalised, also from the penalty spot, after keeper Barry Galvin took down Coughlin inside the box and Brosnan put away the spot kick.

Reports:
Under 12 Div 1:
Dingle Bay Rvs continue to lead the way in this division and were too strong for Mastergeeha as they recorded
their 6th win frm 6 in the League. Michael Flannery got two with Mike O'Connor, Liam Brosnan, Colm Greaney
and Morgan Moriarty netting one each. Killorglin are keeping up thr pressure on the leaders following their 2-1 win over
Kingdom Boys. Brian O'Connell got thr goal for the Tralee side but a brace from Tommy Cahill gave Killorglin all three points.
Fenit are also well in thr hunt for division honours and defeated Camp 2-1 at the weekend. Fionn Griffin and Denis Cosgrave
were the scorers with Aidan Cox getting the Camp score.
Further down the division there were two draws with the Park B and Clanmaurice sharing six goals. Jasmin Gheorghe, Brian Hill and Fionn
Kavanagh were the Tralee side's scoreresw while in the other game Killarney Celtic B and Asdee played out a rare scoreline in the Kerry Schoolboys
League of 0-0.
Under 12 Premier:
Killarney Athletic 1-2 Killarney Celtic was the big result in this division, allowing the league leaders Celtic to pull a further three points clear of The Park
who didnt play. Daniel O'Donoghue put Celtic ahead but this was cancelled out by a Jordan Kiely equaliser. It looked to be heading for a draw but hot-shot striker
Darren O'Doherty had other ideas and was on hand to knock in the winner and so give the Hoops all three points.
Inter Kenmare gave themselves a much needed win defeating Listowel Celtic 1-0 at home with Fionan O'Sullivan netting the only goal of the game.
Under 14 Div 1
This is turning into a real battle between three teams with the Park just leading the way from Inter Kenmare and Dingle who are tied in 2nd place on 13 points, two
behind the leaders. The Park defeated St Bernards 3-1 with thier goals coming from Thomas Ziega, Brendan Flavn and Greg Horan from thr penalty spot. However
they were grateful to Pa Fitzgibbon in goal for a string of saves including a number of one on ones. His display was all the better considering he has been out for
a number of weeks with injury.
Inter won on the road, away to Fenit 3-1. They had Brian Corcoran, Brian Crowley and Steven O'Sullivan on target while Donnacha McGarry got thr Fenit goal.
Dingle were too good for Killorglin winning 4-0 against Ballyhar. Rowan Copeland, Aidan Finn, Jonathan Deane and Fintsn Herlihy were all on target.
Under 14 Prem
Kingdom Boys contiune to top the table here after recording their 5th win in 6 games when they defeated Clanmaurice 3-1. Killarney Athletic put six past Mastergeeha
to close the gap at the top of the table to three points and they have a game in hand. Jack O'Connor led the scoring charts with a hat trick woth Ronan Murphy, Conor Moriarty
and Kimfula getting the others. Killarney Celtic might consider their 3-3 draw with Listowel two points dropped but they have games in hand on those above them and are only two points
behind neighbours Athletic.
Under 16 Premier:
Two points seperate five teams in thiws division. Its a Celtic one-two at the top with both Listowel and Killarney on 13 points - albeit with Listwel playing two games fewer.
Both teams scored five with Listowel defeating Clanmauirce following goals from Brian Murphy, Kieran O'Connor, Jonathan McCoy in the first half and two more in the second half from
Jamie Barry and Dara Kennelly.
Killarney's goals came from Brendan Falvey (2), The two Chris's = Hayse and Brady and Robert Watson in their 5-2 win over Athletic in the derby.
Kingdom Boys and Camp cme next along with Killarney Athletic. The Tralee side beat Iveragh 4-0 while Camp,
with James Crean, Jordan Quirke and an og, overcame Fenit 3-0.
Inter Kenmare enjoyed a rare win defeating Asdee 3-0 (Andrew Feely 2, Kieran O'Neill).
