U12 cup clash
U12 CUP: Mastergeeha 3 Killorglin 2. On Saturday morning in Kilbrean Park Mastergeeha played a strong Killorglin side. Early in the first half Damien Breen crossed for Sean O’Sullivan to score. In the 20th minute Killorglin scored the equaliser following a corner. Towards the later stages of the first half a Kelvin Teahan pass to Sean O’Sullivan whose shot was well saved to leave the score at the break 1-1. In the second half Mastergeeha had most of the possession without creating any clear chances. However the home side again took the lead in the 40th minute following a through ball from Philip Casey which was well finished by Derek Breen. Mastergeeha were now playing the better soccer however were caught again on the break when Killorglin equalised in the 47th minute. Mastergeeha again upped the tempo and got a deserved winning goal when Kelvin Teahan passed for Matthew Keane to score.
