Seniors pull off a glorious victory in the cup

On Friday last the seniors played their first game for some time and recorded a good victory against the Premier division side. In an even first half Mastergeeha created some chance through good passing with Mike Murphy going close. However the score remained at nil all until 10 minutes before half time. Mastergeeha took the lead following a corner by Kevin Bruton which was finished to the net by Micheal Clifford. The second half continued in a similar fashion to the first with both teams going close. In the 70th minute Mastergeeha scored the vital second goal following a through ball by Kevin Bruton which was finished well by Mike Murphy. In the 75th minute however the Tralee side got a goal back following a defensive mix up. In the closing stages Mastergeeha made the game safe when following a good run, Chris Egan crossed the ball to Anthony O’Sullivan who turned just inside the box and shot to the corner of the net.
