U-15's play Park

U15: Premier League

Park 2 Mastergeeha 1.

The boys travelled to Tralee on Saturday to play a strong Park team. In the opening half the home side started well but the Mastergeeha defence stood firm with the team growing in confidence as the game went on. Ryan Carroll, Gary O’Leary and James Devane all had shots on target which were saved by the home goal keeper. However in the 35th minute the Park took the lead following a good finish in side the box from their striker. In the second half both teams created some half chances but the score remained unchanged until the 55th minute. Following a long pass out of defence by Gary O’Leary, Ian Devane ran on to the ball and finished to the net for the equaliser. Mastergeeha were now winning the midfield battle and Jer Sheehan went close to scoring on the hour mark. However in the 63rd minute the Park took the lead again following a defensive mix up. Mastergeeha boys again upped the pace in search of the equaliser. The boys were camped in the opposition half for the remainder of the match and were very unlucky not to score following a corner which the opposition failed to clear. However all the good play and endeavour was not rewarded by a deserved second goal. All who travelled played well and cannot be faulted for their effort.
