KENNEDY CUP: Kerry 2 Limerick District 0. 7 p.m.
A tremendious crowd show for the deciding game of the group when a win would secure a quarter final place. The game open nervously and both Mastergeeha's Damien Breen and Killarney Celtic's Conor Keane came close. Damien's goal was ruled off due to a offside and Conor showed well upfront and was unlucky. Damien caused problems and was a constant threat. Conor Keane opened Kerry's account with a side footed finish to the far corner of the net after beating his opponent he insured his finish was of a high quality. Conor got the second late on to secure that all important quarter final place
KENNEDY CUP: Kerry 2 Wicklow 2. 12 p.m.
Kerry got of the best possible start scoring after 6 minutes through Mastergeeha's Damien Breen finished well to the net. One would have thought with the excellent start that this was the platform Kerry would build on but in truth Wicklow started to dominated proceedings and with goals in each half that put them a goal up with 20 minutes to go. This Kerry team is one with great spirit and battling qualities and when the need was at its highest the team responded. A foul in the Wicklow box led to a Kerry penalty and up stood Gary O'Neill probaly the coolest player on the pitch to side foot the penalty out of the keepers reach to give Kerry the equaliser but most of all a very valuable point that proved vital later on to ensure a quarter final and top seeding for the next Kennedy Cup Squad.
