In the early morning game Mastergeeha boys won a even contest against a good Kilorglin side. The visitors started the better with lots of possession but Mastergeeha defended well and in the 22nd minute took the lead when Kieran O Connors strong run finished with a good shot which the Keeper could only parry. Luke Murphy following up the play finished to the net to put the home side ahead. In the second half the boys started to play better but David Gleason was called upon to make an excellent save to maintain the lead. However in the 50th minute Mastergeeha scored again when Kieran O Connors scored from the penalty spot after Thomas Fleming was fouled in the box. U13 Mastergeeha 2 Inter Kenmare 2
In a close game Mastergeeha boys got a deserved draw following a good second half performance. Mastergeeha got off to a slow start and went behind in the 15th minute when the visitors scored with a headed goal following a free kick. The boys were unlucky to be two down at the break when Inter were awarded and scored a from the penalty spot. In the second half Mastergeeha’s play improved with Darren O Connor going close early on. However in the 40th minute a through ball from Adam Walsh to Paul Riardon who crossed for Keiran Courtney to score. Mastergeeha were now creating the better chances and in the 50th minute Neil O Mahony was fouled out side the box. Philip Casey well taken free beat the keeper to level the match. In the closing stages Gary Healy crossed for Darren O Connor whose shot went just outside the post.
U15 Dingle 4 Mastergeeha 5
Mastergeeha short a few regulars for this long trip to Dingle got an important win to keep them towards the top of their division. In a match with lots of goals Mastergeeha lead 3-1 with 15 minutes but were pushed all the way by the home side in the closing stages. Scorers were Conor Buckley, Conor Herlihy, Keith Flynn and J Courtney with Donal Maher and Jonathon O Connor playing well in the mid field.

Mastergeeha 1 Inter Kenmare 5
Mastergeeha made their exit from this year’s Greyhound Bar cup against Premier A side Inter Kenmare. In a game closer than the score line reflects the more clinical side in front of goal progressed. In the opening quarter the visitors took the lead with a well-taken goal. However Mastergeeha battled well and scored a equaliser early in the second half when Ricky Fleming scored following a pass from Kevin Bruton. However due to a combination of some errors in defence and good Inter play they scored further goals to decided the tie. Mastergeeha did have some chance towards the end but failed to find the net.
Division 2 – Lixnaw 4 Mastergeeha 3
Mastergeeha were disappointed to not get at least a draw from this league game having lead 3 –1 with 25 minutes to go. Brian Fleming, David Fleming and Owen Horan all scored.
