Mastergeeha 4 Ennis Town 0
Mastergeeha u11 boys qualified for the next round with a good victory at home. Mastergeeha started the better and were one up after 8 minutes when Stephen Dunlea scored. The boys went two ahead when following some good play when Thomas Fleming scored. In the second half Mastergeeha continued to dominate and Luke Murphy scored the third in the 40th minute. In the closing stages Geroid Kerins scored the fourth to set up a clash with local rivals Killarney Celtic in the next round. All played well with Connie O Connor outstanding at center back.
Premier U14- Mastergeeha 2 Listowel Celtic 3
In Kilbrean on Saturday morning our U-14's took on Listowel in the league. In the opening minutes Damien Breen worked hard up front and won a deserved corner. Derek Breen crossed in the corner and Kelvin Teahan volleyed the ball into the back of the net to go one goal ahead. In the proceeding minutes Mastergeeha where under pressure and conceded two goals in quick succession.
The second half began with Mastergeeha pushing forward and again on the counter attack Listowel scored to make it three goals to one. Mastergeeha put on a lot of pressure and Padraig O'Sullivan won a pentaly that was well saved by the visitor’s keeper. In the 60th minute Mastergeeha's Adam Walsh scored his first of the season with a well struck free kick from 30 yards. For the remainder of the game Mastergeeha worked hard to get the equaliser but Listowel held out. Seniors
Premier B - Mastergeeha 3 Spa Rd. 1
The seniors gained thee further points in the premier at home to Ballybunion on Sunday. Despite creating some good chances in the opening half the visitors lead 1-0 at the break following a defensive mistake in the 30th minute. In the second half with the following the introduction of some subs the home sides were back on level terms when Kevin Bruton scored. Mastergeeha continued to push forward and were ahead in the 65th minute when John O Callagan and Chris Egan combined well. Mastergeeha sealed the victory scoring a third on the break in the 80th minute.
Division 2 Mastergeeha 3 Tralee Celtic 5
The seniors despite their efforts were beaten at home to a strong Tralee side. In an exciting opening half both teams exchanged the lead with the scored 3-4 at half time. Eoin Horan, Brian Fleming and Paul Lenihan all scored for Mastergeeha. In the second half Mastergeeha pushed forward in search of the equalizer with Michael Horan hitting a post in the 60th minute. Later the home side had a goal disallowed before Tralee Celtic scored again with ten minutes to go.
