U11-League - Mastergeeha 3 Ballyhar 0
The boys gained a good victory at home on Saturday against near rival Ballyhar. In a close opening half Mastergeeha defended well and took the lead just before the break when Kieran O Connor scored with a well taken shot. In the second half the boys pressed on and went two ahead when Luke Murphy finished well. In the 50th minute Luke Murphy scored again following a pass from Paudie O Connor. All played well.
U13 Mastergeeha 1 Ballyhar 0
The u13s got the better of their local rival Ballyhar in this close encounter. In the opening half both sides created some good chances with the home Keeper Padraig Devane doing well to save a well struck shot. For Mastergeeha Jonathon Coffey and Kieran Courtney went close. In the second half Mastergeeha upped the pace and got their reward when Daniel Moynihan passed to Darren O Connor to score with a well taken low shot past the keeper. As the half went on Ballyhar pushed for an equaliser but the home defences stood firm. In the closing stages the boys had further chances to increase the lead but the Ballyhar goalkeeper made some good saves. All played well in this good victory.
U15 Iveragh 1 Mastergeeha 1
Mastergeeha u15s made the long trip to Cahersiveen on Saturday. All the goals came in the first half with the boys taking the lead through Conor Buckley in the 30th minute. However just before the break Iveragh equalised following a defensive mix up. In the second half both sides had chances to score but defences stood firm. In the end a draw was a fair result.
