Mastergeeha U13s exited the national cup on Saturday going down to well organized Tipperary side. In one of the few games to be played over the week end both side started well creating some half chances. However in the 20th minute the visitors took the lead. After this the boys pushed forward and created a few chances with Johnaton Coffey and Darren O Connor having shots on target. In the 30th minute Padraig Devane made a good save to keep the score at 1-0. But just before half time Nenagh scored a second following a defensive mix up. In the second half Mastergeeha upped the pace and were rewarded in the 40th minute when an Adam Walsh free kick was played to Philip Casey who crossed for Johnaton Coffey to score. In the 50th minute Padraig Desmond when close however moments later on the break Nenagh scored again. After this Mastergeeha had a number of corners and some chance to score. On the day all tried their best and could not be faulted for effort.
