Easter Egg Hunt
Masetrgeeha are holding an Easter Egg Hunt at Kilbrean Park on Saturday 27th March. The fun starts at 1pm for boys and girls under 10. A special prize will be given for the best Easter bonnet on the day. Special guests including the Easter Bunny will visit to help all in the search for the golden eggs. Parents are also invited to take part in some novelty races and games. All welcome, hope to see you on the day. Entry €2 per person.
U11 Mastergeeha 1 Iveragh 1
In this top of the table clash Mastergeeha despite leading had to settle with a draw. In an even opening half both teams created some half chances but the score remained 0-0. Early in the second half Mastergeeha took the lead when Stephen Dunlea following a free kick form Paudie O Connor. After this the boys created some further chances through Kerian O Connor and Glen Vaughan but the score remained the same. However with only 2 minutes remaining the visitors were awarded a free kick just outside the box from which they scored.
U-14 Cup
Mastergeeha 2 Killorglin 3
The game began with Mastergeeha dominating the play and going ahead in the fourth minute when Padraig O’Sullivan made a run down the left wing and passed the ball into Damien Breen to finish well. In the twentieth minute Damien was in again to score his second in the game. The score was two goals to nil at half time. In second half Kilorglin got a goal within five minutes of the kick off. Then with Kelvin Teahan down injured the referee allowed the game progress and Killorglin went on socre again. With ten minutes to go Killorglin were awareded a penalty which Padraig Devane could not save despite his best efforts. Mastergeeha came close again when a Mason Ferris shot was blocked and then Padraig O’Sullivan was taken down inside the box only for the referee to allow play continue. Best for Mastergeeha: Padraig O’Sullivan, Padraig Collins, Derek Breen and Kelvin Teahan. U16 Cup Killarney Athletic 3 Mastergeeha 2 AET
Mastergeeha made their exit from the Cup despite being the better side on the day. Mastergeeha made the ideal start scoring in the first minute when a long throw found Padraig Doyle in the box who finished well despite the best efforts of the defence. Mastergeeha continued to play the better soccer and Conor Herlihy, Dillon Carey and Conor Riordan went close in the opening half. However just before the break the Killarney were back in level terms when they scored a headed goal following a corner. In the second half Mastergeeha again started the better and went 2-1 ahead when Mark Reen scored following a well-worked move. The boys had some half chances before Killarney Athletic were awarded a harsh penalty which they converted (2-2). In extra time Gearoid Coughlan and Mark Reen went close before the home side scored the deciding goal to win the game. The Mastergeeha boys could not be faulted for their effort and hard work on the day.

Division 2 – Kilorglin 0 Mastergeeha 5
Mastergeeha earned a good victory away in Kilorglin on Sunday. David Fleming, Brian Fleming, Colm Lenihan (2) and Chris Egan were the scores.
